Coach Education in South West Scotland

South West Coaching,, is a new site which covers coach education opportunities in the South est Of Sctland.

“Sport Scotland is working with partners to establish six regional sporting partnerships across the country. This regional way of working is designed to link national programmes with local delivery, and provides a platform for partners (local authorities, governing bodies of sport and other organisations) to work together to achieve more than they could individually.

This application has been developed in a partnership approach between Dumfries and Galloway, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, and North Ayrshire Councils/KA Leisure and other organisations in order to provide an overview of coach education opportunities within the region.”

Dumfries & Galloway in their second match of the season again came second to their area opponents and again by 3 wickets in a close match following a similar pattern.

Batting first the Solway boys posted a total which proved to be competitive despite some good bowling by the Ayrshire opening bowlers. They then made inroads to get within touching distance of victory only to be denied by some positive batting at number five. Eleven-year-old Craig Penrice was the batting hero with 22 runs and Chris McBride was almost the bowling match-winner with his 5 overs of leg-breaks.
