Autumn term cricket at local primaries

Despite it being the off-season for cricket the autumn term is providing one of the busiest periods for the Community Coach with an extensive series of cricket sessions delivered at local schools.

This September four weeks of cricket sessions have been delivered conducted at local primary schools at Collin, Brownhall, Locharbriggs, Georgetown, Mouswald, Caerlaverock, Calside, Nethermill, Noblehill, Ae, and Amisfield.

The post of local community coach is part-financed by the Scottish Government and the European Community, Dumfries and Galloway Leader 2007-2013 programme and is also supported by Cricket Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Leisure and Sport department, and local cricket clubs.
