New Pavilion at Kinmount

The first game of cricket for the 2009 season took place at Kinmount with the hosts playing a Sunday St Michaels team. Kinmount were roundly beaten in glorious weather, at a lovely place to play cricket.

Thanks are due to the owners, the Birkbeck family, for not only letting the cricketers play on their lawn but also erecting a new pavilion over this winter.

It was constructed by the staff at Hitchell sawmill and makes an excellent advert for anyone needing a wooden shed built.

If anyone (preferably in Annandale but that’s not essential) is interested in playing “friendly” cricket, mainly on Sundays for Kinmount Cricket Club they should phone Anthony Steel on 01576 510200.
